Announcing…
the Inaugural
Irish Mandolin Gathering
Mandolinists Marla Fibish, Seán Keegan & Macdara Ó Faoláin invite you to join them for the inaugural Irish Mandolin Gathering, held near Cork City, Ireland, on 22-25th June, 2026.
The event will include tuition for a range of mandolin players — inclusive of newer to more advanced players on the instrument; those new to the tradition, as well as those with Irish trad music experience on other instruments, wanting to explore playing the mandolin as well. There will be classes that cover foundational elements as well as classes on advanced techniques; we’ll explore the use of the instrument in the tradition so far, and look ahead at new and exciting directions in its evolution. Classes will be geared toward adult participants.
All three tutors are highly experienced players and instructors, having performed, recorded and taught extensively. In addition, Macdara brings his expertise as an acclaimed luthier.
There will be group classes and presentations, as well as private tuition, sessions, a faculty concert, and more.
We are excited to be crafting a unique event, showcasing the mandolin in Traditional Irish Music.
